Outsell Unicorns – Recap Week 3
Back to normal, the Unicorns drop 2 to Purple Sasquatch
After the highs and lows of last week, the Unicorns took the field with high hopes of another win. Once the first game got started, the Unicorns saw that this would be a daunting task. There were many struggles with stopping the long ball, but all in all, the team was united in getting through the tough parts. There were some highlights with early runs in the first game, but as fatigue set in, Purple Sasquatch poured it on.
There were great moments from our defense. Christopher Greuling and Nick Jensen were amazing each pitching a complete game, Aaron Jerde and James Stites showed they were on the same page with a slick double play, and Tim Gilmore showed that he never quits with amazing catches in the outfield. Even though Purple Sasquatch scored more than 15 runs each time, the Unicorns persevered and also poured on the offense with at least 5 runs per game.
Though the Unicorns are back to their losing ways, fans are always welcome. Please join us next week at 6:00 and 7:00 at Bryn Mawr fields (601 Morgan Ave, Minneapolis) as we take on Guys and Balls.
To our Fallen Heros:
Katy Lyman – out but still cheering us on as a great bench coach
Justin Kramer – injured but hopeful to make a return
Greg Springer – hurt, but still provides motivation from the side lines
