Outsell Caring Committee Attends Walk for Animals

This past weekend, Saturday, May 4, 2013, the Outsell Caring Committee participated in the Animal Humane Society’s Walk for Animals to help raise money to support homeless animals. Many other participants who own a dog, cat, bird, ferret, or anything else you consider a pet, and even those who just love animals, were in attendance to help support the cause.

This year’s Walk for Animals began at 10:00 a.m. at the Animal Humane Society’s Golden Valley campus. It continued through beautiful Theodore Wirth Park, turned around, and headed back to the Animal Humane Society for the finish, approximately five miles total. Participants were also encouraged to rest and enjoy the festivities and vendors located at the Cities 97 turnaround point – the halfway mark!

There were two ways to participate in the Walk for Animals and raise funds to help homeless animals in our community: signing up as an individual or as part of a team. Help was appreciated as donations from those who couldn’t also attend the walk.

“Something as simple as a walk becomes so much more when you share it with your companion animal – and even better yet when you share it with your animal loving community!”

Congrats to our Caring Committee members who attended the walk for supporting a great cause!
